Almost Thirty

Beckles Dancing Company (BDC) will present several original works from Donald McKayle, Micaela Tillett, Anthony Joseph Wade Jr. and Loris Anthony Beckles, Artistic Director of Beckles Dancing Company.

Donald Mckayle was a world-renowned modern dancer, choreographer, teacher, director and writer who was best known for creating socially conscious concert works.

Micaela Tillett is an influential hip hop, jazz and dance hall choreographer and dancer in the DFW area, who has collaborated with BDC as a guest choreographer and master class teacher.

Anthony Wade Jr. is a local dancer, choreographer and TCU graduate, currently studying for his Master’s in choreography in London, and former BDC company member.

Guest companies include: Ballet Hispanic of Arts, Caution Dance Company, Choreo Records, Greiner Academy Stars Dance Company, Jennifer Mabus with William Labossiere, and Lancaster High School DC3 Dance Ensemble.

Special guest artists are: Claude Alexander III and Lacy Brent.

Our program promotes and enhances the diversity of artistic voices and points of view to reach broader audiences and artists in the local dance community.
