Wild Symphony

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra will present a unique musical experience for the entire family! Dan Brown – #1 New York Times best-selling author of publishing phenomenon The Da Vinci Code – brings us Wild Symphony, a children’s book and large scale musical work by the writer himself.

Details

From the joyous rhythms of “Bouncing Kangaroo” to the mysterious melodies of “Wondrous Whale” and the hair-raising harmonies of “Brilliant Bat”, the nearly two dozen movements of Wild Symphony correspond to an animal featured in the picture book. Wild Symphony reveals the author as a lifelong musician and composer who counts himself among those inspired at a young age by Peter and the Wolf, The Carnival of the Animals and The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.

“My intent with Wild Symphony is to provide a fun, fresh opportunity for families, parents, children and people of all ages to reconnect with the magical experience of classical music,” says Brown. “Wild Symphony is a very wild symphony indeed and offers a refreshingly real experience for children of all ages.”

Music Director Eugene Migliaro Corporon and the Lone Star Wind Orchestra will present DAN BROWN’S WILD SYMPHONY on Sunday, November 7th, 3 PM, at Moody Performance Hall in Dallas, TX. The program includes Dan Brown’s Wild Symphony, William Bolcom’s Circus Overture and Jay Kennedy’s Catapult.
